Reno Park Update 090827: Uses

After some awesome long nights, the map of buildings is ready. This was a major hurdle in the project, so expect a slew of posts over the next few days. All I have left are the pedestrian paths, before it’s all analysis and design. So:

  1. Herr Schmonz, the files come to me as ESRI .shp files, before conversion into AutoCAD DWGs. Then I re-draw the files (basically), export them to Illustrator for better color and shading, and then save them as .psd and .jpg. The only exception is the contours, which I copied in illustrator on a tablet, because the .shp, which I got from DC’s GIS service was a wreck.

    Clear enough?
